I had an accident in July 12, 2008 and two days later, both hands and my right foot because swollen and very painful. My right foot had a knott on the top and was very painful to walk on it. They tried to tell me it was some type of artiritis but this occurred after the car accident. I was setting in my car wating to go around a double parked car when I was hit from behind. Both hands were on the wheel and my right foot was on the brake. For a while the right foot and left hand calmed down and it was just my right hand flurring up with the pain and swelling. After trying to use my left hand for a while, it then became very painful and a big lump (swelling) appeared. My right hand calm down some but is still still and swelling. My MRI on the right hand was abnormal. My C-PROTEIN REACTIVE OR CRP is 53.37 and SED RATE IS 44. My first doctor said it was some type of artirtis but he was not sure was type. I am going to see a hand surgeon today, probably another Rheumatologist. On top of that, I have had diarrhea for nearly 2 months which I have not told my primary care doctor. When this first happended, I could not use my hands for at least 2 to 3 weeks before the pain went away. A neurologist said there was nothing wrong with my nerves but I know whatever is going on, it is pressing on my nerve. Have any ideals?
