I am a 58 year old married house-wife. I had undergone Angioplasty for a single vessel blockage as it was diagnosed in March 2008. I was never diagnosed as a case of CAD before Angiolasty, but the 2nd follow-uo Echo after the proceedure pronounced me as a case of CAD. I am a known hyper-reactive person to several drugs. Within one month after the proceedure, they had to withdraw the blood thinner (PLAVIX) since I revealed untoward symptoms.
I was kept on a combination dose of Atrovastin, Ramipril, Aspirin and another preparation containing Metoprolol Succinate. I was quite stable and doing well. Everyday I uased to take a walk for one hour (normal !). I was fine but for a non-descript pain in the left side of the chest which was attributed to be a pain not associated with the heart by tthe doctors.
Very recently, I started getting a sort of choking feeling during the start of trhe walk which used to disappear soon. Very soon, the discomfort increased and I was advised not to take walk as I did earlier. I got severe urethritis associated with low abdominal pain and frequent urge to urinate. I started getting severe headache and could not get normal sleep. I used to develop swelling of legs .
My Physician and the doctor who had done the proceedure, were worried since I started recording raised B.P. They kept on adding and elliminating drugs which only messed up my situation without bring down the B.P. They have found my ESR recording 40 and my Lipid profile showing a raised Tri-Glyceride level. I am still verymuch uncomfortable though.
