young male with HCC of the right lobe of the liver, underwent exploratory laparotomy for right extended hepatectomy and was found to have peritoneal metastasis. BIopsy was taken from the peritoneal mets and the wound was closed. Much to our suprise the report of the peritoneal biopsy came as TUBERCULOSIS !!!!. We got a second opinion on our liver lesion biopsy slides and it was confirmed as HCC. Patient one week after the surgery developed altered sensorium and was treated as TB meningitis and did well. Currently on CAT III of ATT. Patient doing well and is planned for right extended hepatectomy this week. Would like comments on this.
