    ESR and CRP

Female aged 78. Blood test results Erythrocyte sedimentation rate 12mm/h. Plasma C reactive protein 1mg/L. Both stated normal. I assume I was tested for inflammation but not sure what this result implies. Appreciate explanation. Thank you.

Your ESR and C-reactive protein reports are normal. The implication of this result is that there is no significant inflammatory process in your body at the time of the test.

If your symptoms continue, you may need to repeat these tests.
