Blood-clot-related strokes decrease among whites, but not blacks, in long-term study
Tracking 1.3 million people in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, researchers found that stroke incidence fell significantly in whites between 1999 and 2005, but not among blacks. There was no racial difference in whether a stroke led to death.
